Interoceptive Awareness. What is it? Why is it important?
WHAT IS INTEROCEPTIVE AWARENESS
Interoceptivity, or interoceptive awareness is the ability to become aware of and evaluate internal body signals. We all have this ability. For example, we know when our bladder is full, when we are cold or hot, and when we are angry or anxious.
It’s the CORNERSTONE of self-care, because it’s the way that we become aware of what we truly need.

What is Intuitive Eating (and what it isn’t)?
There has been a LOT of buzz around Intuitive Eating lately- what it is, what it isn’t, what it can and can’t do for you. I like to think of it as a framework- a supporting structure that informs how we approach our relationship to food and our bodies. It is NOT the latest fad-diet, nor does it purport to be a weight-loss method.
