TYF 8-WEEK GROUP COACHING INTENSIVE
Leaving diet culture behind can feel scary and lonely at times. After all, we live in a society that prioritizes thinness and food purity, so rejecting that paradigm, no matter how toxic we know that it is, can be very challenging and difficult. Community support is really helpful.
So, what is it, exactly?
This is a two-month group coaching intensive intended to help you break free from diet culture and create a peaceful relationship with food and your body. We use The F*ck It Diet as the textbook, which has been broken down into an 8-week curriculum packed with prompts, exercises, and essays, along with a ton of other resources.
Jennifer Ellen leads weekly coaching calls and will offer support from her experience as an anti-dieter, researcher, certified health coach, health educator, and Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor to guide you through the process.
It’s a chance for coaching and accountability on the lessons, prompts, and tools from The F*ck it Diet book, a deep dive into releasing diet culture beliefs, Q&A calls, and a community of people going through this process!
It will be hosted on a private platform called Mighty Networks and will include:
- The F*ck It Diet book which is the official textbook for the 8-week course
- A private membership community where you can ‘talk’ to other participants and share your experiences as we work through the curriculum
- Guided, weekly body and food belief work where we break down old diet beliefs to examine, discuss, and release them
- Guided discussion on reading assignments, tools, and prompts from the curriculum
- Live Weekly Q&A calls to answer all of your anti-diet questions week to week
- Coaching & Support from Jennifer Ellen on the Q&A calls, and in the private community
- Bonus prompts and inspiration every week to keep you engaged through the unlearning, relearning, and reframing process to support your journey
How will this program benefit me?
This program is for people who want structure, guidance, and support. Together we will go through the book, diving deep into belief work, exercises, prompts, and other resources in a structured week-to-week layout.
You’ll get weekly live Q&A calls, and weekly action steps focused on making the changes needed to heal your relationship with food.
In addition! The group coaching intensive is led by Jennifer Ellen Mueller, MSPH, CHES, CIEC, E-RYT 500, the Owner/Creator of Trust You First. She has been working in health and wellness for over 20 years, blending her experience and current research in the field of weight-neutral health into the work of breaking free from diet culture with compassion, humor, and relentless optimism.
This program will change the way you relate to food and how your view your body, and help you to create a peaceful and compassionate relationship in place of shame, hatred, stress, and obsession.
What can I expect?
Our work together will be based on the fantastic book, “The F*ck it Diet”, which combines the latest evidence-based research on diet culture and its harms and origins, and practical how-to advice and tools for overcoming challenges with food and body image.
Together we will…
- Take everything you already know about food, weight, and health and turn it on its head
- Remove the connection between your value and your weight, eradicating food guilt
- Learn the difference between emotional eating and bingeing, and why neither is your enemy
- Use techniques to increase your awareness of how your mind and emotions operate, sort through your mental clutter, and start processing long-buried emotions
The 8-week group coaching intensive is for you if…
- You stress out over what you “should” eat or struggle with food
- You have been going from diet to diet, and are ready to step out of the cycle and stop dieting once and for all
- Your relationship with food and body is all over the place, and you’re ready to get to the bottom of it
Jennifer Ellen is offering this intensive coaching series with the support and permission of the author of The F*ck it Diet, Caroline Dooner, and is using the tools and ideas presented in the book to guide and support you through the process of leaving diet culture behind for good.
